- Flourish Sabastine has completed her move to French D1 Arkema side, Stade de Reims.
- Sabastine arrived in France on Monday and inked the contract with her new club on Friday.
The 18-year-old rising talent departs Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, Bayelsa Queens, to join the ranks of Stade de Reims.
Sabastine successfully passed her medical examinations and subsequently signed a two-year contract, facilitated by C2E Sports Management, the agency headed by former Nigeria U20 star, Dejo Olateru.
During her time with Bayelsa Queens FC, Sabastine managed to clinch three titles in just two years. Now, she is set to bolster the offensive line for Stade de Reims.
She arrives at Reims and D1 Arkema with a clear focus on her development, as she stated, "Individually, this choice to come to Reims is part of a logic of development for me, I want to continue to improve in technical, physical, and tactical aspects."
Sabastine also emphasized her commitment to the team's success, stating, "And collectively I want to make my contribution, contribute to the team results."
The young Falconets star gained recognition during the last FIFA U20 World Cup, notably by scoring the only goal in the match against France.
She is set to don jersey number 22 at her new club and will be reunited with her Falconets teammates, Tosin Demehin and Rofiat Imuran, both of whom joined Stade de Reims last season.
