The bureaucratic problem that has stopped Oghenekaro Etebo from travelling to Greece to team up with his new club Aris Thessaloniki has finally been resolved.

It would be recalled that Oghenekaro Etebo signed for Aris Thessaloniki on September 15, the last day of the Greek summer transfer window. With the move, the midfielder ended his four-year stay with Stoke City.

But ten days after inking a permanent deal with Aris, Etebo has not been able to travel to Greece because of visa issues.

Having previously played in Nigeria, Portugal, Spain, and England, this is the first time Etebo would be playing for a Greek club.

Aris Thessaloniki have, however, worked tirelessly to see Etebo receive the clearance to travel to the Southeastern European nation.

According to Thess News, the club's efforts have finally paid off, and Etebo is expected to arrive in Thessaloniki within 24 hours to join up with Alan Pardew's men.

Etebo is expected to be a part of first-team training immediately as he is considered a key signing for the club.

Aris will make the trip to the Panthessaliko Stadium to face Volos NFC in their next league clash on October 2, a game in which Etebo could make his debut.

The Yellow-Blacks have endured a decent start to the league campaign, winning three and losing one of five games.
