Nigerian international striker, Umar Sadiq is set to make his Real Sociedad debut today, Saturday, September 3, 2022, when his club host Atletico Madrid at the Reale Seguros Stadium for Laliga Game week 4.
The former UD Almeria Player was included in the 24-man Squad list named by Sociedad coach, Imanol Alguacil, to face Atletico Madrid later today.
He moved to Real Sociedad in a deal reported to be around 20 million Euros. Which could rise to 26 million Euros, due to some performance-based bonuses.
The 25-year scored 18 league goals in the Segunda Division in 2021/2022 to secure UD Almeria's promotion to the Spanish Top flight league.
He will look forward to continuing his red hot form with Sociedad, having scored in his last two games for Almeria. An equalizer in a 1-1 draw against Elche and the winner when his former side defeated Sevilla 2-1.
In 79 league games with Almeria, Sadiq has scored 40 goals, with 38 coming in the Segunda Division and two in the top division.
