Super Falcons defender Shukurat Oladipo has signed a contract with Italian Serie A Femminile club AS Roma until June 30, 2027.

The 20-year-old's confirmed move to the Italian giants is significant milestone in her young career. 

The centre-back has already gained valuable experience playing for FC Robo Queens in the Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL) and representing Nigeria at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Colombia.

During her time with FC Robo Queens, Oladipo made an impressive 178 appearances across all competitions. 

Her performances caught the attention of the Nigerian national team selectors, and she has since earned two senior international caps.

AS Roma's decision to sign Oladipo highlights her potential since bursting on to the international scene with Nigeria's youth selections. 

The Italian club has a knack for developing young talent, and Oladipo will likely benefit from the expertise of the club's coaching staff.

She becomes one of the few Nigerian female players to play for a top European club, paving the way for others to follow in her footsteps.
