  • The 20-year-old will hope to make an instant impact at the Doosan Arena with a view to sealing a permanent move at the end of the campaign.

With a statement on their official website, defending Czech First Division Champions, Viktoria Plzeň have announced the signing of young Nigerian forward, Rafiu Adekunle Durosinmi.

Only just 20, Durosinmi joins Viktoria Plzeň from Czech second-tier club, MFK Karvina on a six-month loan deal that will keep him at the Doosan Arena until June 2023. The reigning Czech First League champions, however, retain the option to buy the youngster in the deal.

In Durosinmi, Viktoria Plzeň get one of the most promising young forwards in the Czech Republic. The Lagos-born striker had been involved in seven goals and five assists in 19 games across all competitions for MFK Karvina in the first half of the 2022/2023 season.

Delighted to join one of the biggest clubs in the Czech Republic, Durosinmi said, "I am happy that I got such a chance.

"I watched Victoria's matches in the Champions League, they are a really big team and I have to do my best to be able to make it."

Durosinmi is not the only Nigerian player on the books of Viktoria Plzeň, as he joins livewire forward, Fortune Bassey at the club.

Bassey is also currently on loan from Hungarian giants, Ferencváros. The 24-year-old striker has one goal in 12 appearances for Plzeň.
