Birmingham City reignite interest in Super Eagles' Maja

Sky Bet Championship side, Birmingham City are reportedly still interested in signing Nigerian international Josh Maja.
The Blues are ready to reignite their interest in the Bordeaux-owned youngster after missing out on him in the January transfer window, according to Birmingham Live.
Maja is presently on loan at Stoke City, where he has two goals and three assists in seventeen appearances.
The Potters negotiated an option to buy in the loan agreement that brought Maja to the Championship team on transfer deadline day in January 2022, but it is unclear if the clause would be activated at the end of the season.
The Nigerian moved to Stoke City in pursuit of consistent playing time, something he would not have had if he had stayed at Bordeaux, where he had only played 45 minutes in four games before to his move to England.
Maja's contract at Bordeaux expires in July, and the Ligue 1 club must decide whether to extend it or sell the striker if he is not signed on a permanent basis by Stoke City.
Since making his debut off the bench in a friendly against Ukraine in September 2019, the former Sunderland and Fulham junior teamer has not played for the Super Eagles.
