Lookman emerged first in the polls conducted by the official channel of the Italian club, ahead of teammates Luis Muriel and Marco Sportiello.
The Super Eagles winger has been a revelation for the Nerazzurri since joining for nine million euros from RB Leipzig in the summer.
But October has proven to be his most productive month thus far, with the former Leicester City ace chipping in four goals in five matches.
Lookman began the month in style, stabbing in the winner in the narrow victory over Fiorentina.
The Nigeria international followed that goal up with the opener in the 2-2 draw at Udinese before providing the winning strike again as Atalanta shot down Sassuolo on October 15.
Lookman then ended the month with a fantastic individual effort to seal a 2-0 triumph away at Empoli.
Atalanta lost the only match (a 2-0 reverse at home to Lazio) Lookman failed to score in during the month under the review.
The October Player of the Month award is Lookman's first in Italy.
