  • Southampton have set a €10m valuation for Nigerian forward, Paul Onuachu, and will not sell him to Trabzonspor unless the Turkish club meets this price, having already rejected a €7m offer.
  • Onuachu, who impressed on loan at Trabzonspor last season, is not pushing for a move and is currently preparing for the new season with Southampton, who begin their Premier League campaign on August 17.

Premier League newbies, Southampton FC have taken a resolute stance on the valuation of Nigerian forward, Paul Onuachu, refusing to budge unless Turkish outfit, Trabzonspor, meet their €10m asking price.

According to Southampton insider, Adam Blackmore, the Turkish club's current offer of €7m falls short of the Saints' expectations, causing a stalemate in negotiations.

Onuachu, who spent last season on loan with Trabzonspor, impressed with 19 goal involvements (15 goals, 4 assists) and was named in (link unavailable)'s Team of the Season.

Trabzonspor are eager to sign him permanently, but Southampton's valuation has become a major obstacle.

Blackmore emphasized via his X account that Southampton won't sell Onuachu cheaply, stating, "I'm told tall Paul won't be going to Trabzonspor... unless they stop offering Saints peanuts for him... his goal-scoring record deserves more for sure." Despite Onuachu's desire to join Trabzonspor, he is not pushing for a move and is currently preparing for the new season with Southampton.

The Saints, newly promoted to the English Premier League, will begin their campaign against Newcastle United at St. James' Park on August 17.

As the transfer window unfolds, it remains to be seen whether Trabzonspor will meet Southampton's demands or explore alternative options.
