21-year-old Ishaq leaves Anderlecht for BK Häcken

• Swedish top division club, BK Häcken have secured an exciting signing by bringing in Abdulrazaq Ishaq from Anderlecht on a loan deal.
• The 21-year-old Nigerian talent will be with BK Häcken until June 30, 2024.

Born in Kaduna, Nigeria, Ishaq's football career started at the Unity Academy before he was snapped up by Sweden's IFK Norrköping in 2020.

He made his Allsvenskan debut at IFK Norrköping and went on to feature in 54 league games, contributing two goals and seven assists.

Anderlecht wasted little time in snapping him up last year, but he only made three appearances for the senior team, with the majority of his time spent with the youth team.

The youngster has decided to return to familiar environs in Sweden, hoping to continue his development.

Commenting on his move, Ishaq expressed enthusiasm to join BK Häcken and assured that he would give his all, committing to deliver 100 per cent on the field.

"I will do my best and give 100 percent. I have seen several matches from Belgium," the youngster said.

"BK Häcken plays very good football and I look forward to being a part of it. They played fantastically last year and this year as well. They play very nice football, like tiki-taka. So much of that makes it good football to me. I want to take part in it, and then we will continue with it, I think."

BK Häcken's sporting director, Martin Ericsson, expressed his excitement about the signing, noting that Ishaq's versatility makes him a valuable addition to the team. While primarily seeing him as a central midfielder, they recognize his potential to contribute in various positions, aligning perfectly with their football philosophy.

Abdulrazaq Ishaq is awaiting his work permit before he is ready to play for BK Häcken.
