Aston Villa are said to be preparing a deal for Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, ahead of the summer transfer window.

Steven Gerrard has reportedly told the club to go all out for Wilfred and they're set to make a £50 million bid for the 25-year-old.

Aston Villa's record signing is Emiliano Buendia who they got for £38m last summer.

Ndidi, since joining the Foxes in the winter of 2017 has been a colossal member of the team and has racked up to 207 appearances.

Before undergoing surgery, the Nigerian played 31 games for the Foxes in all competitions this season.

Nassef Sawiris and Wes Eden, the owners of Villa, are thought to be eager to back Gerrard in the transfer market at the end of the season. Daily Star reported.

Aston Villa are currently 13th on the Premier League with 40 points from 33 games.

Leicester City may be tempted to do business with Villa as they bought Wilfred for just €17.6m.
