  • Super Falcons attacking midfielder, Rasheedat Ajibade has made her 100th appearance for former Spanish champions, Atletico Madrid.

Ajibade hit the career landmark during Atletico Madrid's 2-0 loss against Barcelona at the Estadi Johan Cruyff in Sant Joan Despí on Sunday.

The Nigeria international was on the pitch for 77 minutes as goals from Salma Paralluelo and Vicky López handed the Catalans the win in the gameweek 18 clash.

Interestingly, it has taken Ajibade just over three years to become an Atletico Madrid centurion.

The former Avaldsnes star joined Atletico on the first of January 2021 and has since then accumulated 87 matches in the Primera División Femenina, eight in the Copa De La Reina, three in the Supercopa Femenina, and two in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Ajibade has been excellent for Atletico during that period, notching 27 goals and several assists.

This season alone, Ajibade has managed four goals and three assists in 18 league appearances.
PBefore joining Atletico Madrid, Ajibade was at Avaldsnes between March 2019 and December 2020, where she smashed home 12 goals in 40 league matches.

Over her 100 games at Atletico Madrid, the 24-year-old forward has lifted four trophies, including the Supercopa Femenina, Trofeo Ramon de Carranza, one Copa de la Reina, and The Women's Cup.
