The match ended 2-1 in favour of the hosts. Sanusi played 90 mins, making 2 inerceptions, 3 clearances and also creating two chances for his side.

Raphael Onyedika - Club Brugge KV

Onyedika's Club Brugge kicked off their 2022/2023 UCL campaign with a narrow win over Bayer Leverkusen at home. The 21-year old midfielder had a fine outing for his side, making 6 ball recoveries and 2 interceptions while completing 86% of his passes.

Victor Osimhen - SSC Napoli

Super Eagles hitman, Victor Osimhen was impressive on Wednesday night, as his Napoli side thrashed Liverpool 4-1, at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.

Osimhen saw his effort hit the woodwork in the opening 3 minutes of the game, before winning a penalty for a foul by Virgil Van Dijk in the 18th minute. He got up and took the spotkick, which was saved impressively by Alisson Becker.

Overall, the 23-year old was a constant thorn in the side of their English Opponent's defence until he was substituted off with an injury in the 41st minute.
