Taofeek Ismaheel assisted SK Beveren's third goal in their [4-1] rout of Club Brugge II, but it was not enough to steal the promotion spot away from RWDM in the Challenger Pro League.

CROATIA

Chidozie Awaziem confirmed his return to the top spot after he got a goal as Hajduk Split slammed a three-nil loss down the throat of Osijek in an HNL gameweek 34 encounter.

CZECH REPUBLIC

It was a stunning goalfest for Nigerian stars in the Czech Republic.

Victor Olatunji rounded up the scoring for Slovan Liberec as they romped to a [4-0] win over České Budějovice in their playoff semifinal clash to claim a [6-3] aggregate triumph.

In the absence of Peter Olayinka, defender Igoh Ogbu could do little to prevent Slavia Prague from falling to a [2-3] away defeat against city rivals Sparta Prague, denting their title aspirations.

In the lower division, Adeleke Akinyemi bagged a fantastic hat trick to power Karvina to an impressive [0-3] away win over Dukla Praha. The victory leaves Karvina four points ahead of the chasing pack at the top of the table with three league matches left to play.

ENGLAND

Paul Onuachi made his 11th appearance in the Premier League while Joe Aribo watched from the bench as Southampton lost [0-2] at home to Fulham. The defeat sends the Saints back down to the Championship after a 12-year stay in the English top flight.

Taiwo Awoniyi grabbed his first back-to-back brace in English football as he struck once in each half to help Nottingham Forest earn a crucial [2-2] draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

GERMANY

Kevin Akpoguma delivered an impressive showing in defence, but it was not enough to help Hoffenheim avoid a [2-1] defeat against Wolfsburg.

In the 2 Bundesliga, Anthony Ujah opened the scoring for Eintracht Braunschweig against Dickson Abiama's Greuther Fürth as both teams ended up sharing the points in a [2-2] draw.

PORTUGAL

Nwankwo Obiora scored via first goal for Chaves as they powered to a [2-0] home win over Paços Ferreira in a Primeira Liga gameweek 32 fixture.

Rasheedat Ajibade came off the bench to net a stoppage-time equaliser for Atletico Madrid in their thrilling [1-1] draw at Villarreal.

Samuel Chukwueze did everything right except for getting on the scoresheet as Villarreal pummelled Athletic Bilbao [5-1] at the Estadio de la Ceramica in a La Liga clash.

SLOVAKIA

Abdulrahman Taiwo continued his brilliant goalscoring form as he claimed a double to propel Spartak Trnava to a crushing [0-3] triumph away to Podbrezová. Taiwo has four goals in his last five games in all competitions.

SWEDEN

In the Ettan, Nsima Peter scored the winning goal for United Nordic in their [1-3] win away to Sylvia that made it four consecutive victories for the visitors.

UKRAINE
