OFFICIAL: Super Falcons Defender Tosin Demehin Signs for Galatasaray Petrol Ofisi

Through a statement on their official website, Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray Petrol Ofisi has secured the services of talented Nigerian defender Oluwatosin Demehin on a one-year contract. The 22-year-old, renowned for her defensive prowess and versatility, joins the club after impressive stints in France and Nigeria.

Demehin's journey to Galatasaray began with her formative years at Sunshine Stars in her native Nigeria. Her exceptional performances caught the eye of Rivers Angels FC, where she further honed her skills.

In 2022, Demehin's star ascended to new heights as she represented Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 World Cup. Her standout displays and contributions to the team's quarter-final finish earned her widespread acclaim and a coveted move to French Ligue 1 club Reims.

During her two-year tenure at Reims, Demehin established herself as a key figure in the team's defensive line. Her consistent performances played a pivotal role in Reims' fourth-place finish in the league last season.

Beyond her club commitments, Demehin has also been a regular fixture in the Nigerian national team. She represented her country at the 2023 FIFA World Cup and most recently at the Olympic Games.

Demehin's arrival at Galatasaray Petrol Ofisi is expected to bolster the club's defensive ranks and provide a much-needed boost to their aspirations in the Turkish Super Lig.

Prior to the official announcement, the defender had already made her debut for the club in the UEFA Women’s Champions League against Slavia Prague, as the Turkish giants saw out a comfortable 2-0 win.
