New Super Eagles star Bright Osayi-Samuel ready for Premier League move
Raba
- Bright Osayi-Samuel, Super Eagles' newest star, has been at Fenerbahce since 2020
- The versatile full-back is ready for a step up to the English Premier League.
Osayi-Samuel arrived in Turkey in the summer of 2021 after Fenerbahce paid a bargain fee of €508,000 to sign the winger from Queens Park Rangers.
An excellent debut season in Turkey saw Osayi-Samuel score 2 goals and provide 5 assists in 42 games across all competitions, playing either as a winger or a wing-back.
This season, Osayi-Samuel has featured in 11 Super Lig games for Fener. The Okija-born wing-back also appeared in five of Fenerbahce's six group games in the UEFA Europa League to help the Yellow Canaries finish top of their group.
Bright Osayi-Samuel's profile is on the rise, with the former Blackpool star now valued at €9 million by Transfermarkt.
The 24-year-old's burgeoning reputation also received a major boost earlier in November, when he earned his first international call-up to the Nigerian national team.
With regular right-back, Ola Aina out injured, Peseiro handed Osayi-Samuel his Super Eagles debut in the friendly defeat against Portugal in Lisbon on the 17th.
Interestingly, Bright Osayi-Samuel was Nigeria's best player on the pitch, as the Super Eagles lost by a scandalous 4-0 scoreline to the Selecao.
Osayi-Samuel's brilliance has reportedly caught the attention of clubs from Italy and England, and the Nigeria international is open to a return to England.
An offer from the Premier League would be almost impossible to resist. It has been learnt that Osayi-Samuel has informed Fenerbahce he would want to leave should an acceptable bid come in during the January transfer window.
