EaglesTracker Awards 2024: Nigerian Team of the Season

• After two days of celebrating the best Nigerian footballers, it’s time to reveal the Team of the Season.
• With many outstanding players this campaign, selecting just eleven was tough. However, the EaglesTracker Awards have chosen the best.

In goal is Paris FC's Chiamaka Nnadozie, who was also named Nigeria Goalkeeper of the Season.

Bright Osayi-Samuel, who narrowly missed out on Defender of the Season, takes the right-back position.

Christy Ucheibe of SL Benfica, awarded Best Nigeria Defender, is right at centre-back, paired with Fulham’s Calvin Bassey, who shone in the Premier League and the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ola Aina, traditionally a right-back, slots in at left-back after excelling for Nottingham Forest and the Super Eagles.

Raphael Onyedika of Club Brugge, who helped his team win the Belgian Pro League, is at left centre-midfield. Alex Iwobi partners him in midfield, as Nigeria's top creative star.

Ademola Lookman, who won Nigeria’s Men's Most Valuable Player, is the left winger after contributing immensely to Atalanta's Europa League success.

On the right wing is Rasheedat Ajibade, named Nigeria’s Women's Most Valuable Player for her role in Atletico Madrid Femenino's success.

Up front, Paul Onuachu, who scored prolifically for Trabzonspor during his loan from Southampton, takes the first striker position.

Victor Boniface, who had a stellar debut season with Bayer Leverkusen, helping them win a league and cup double, is the second striker.
