  • With a statement on their official website, Paris Saint-Germain Feminines have announced the signing of Jennifer Echegini.

The Super Falcons midfielder has inked a three-year contract that will keep her with the French club until June 2027.

Echegini joins PSG from Juventus Women after spending only six months with the Italian club. In that period, the Nigeria international scored ten goals and provided one assist in 16 games in all competitions, helping the Turin club qualify for the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Her brilliance was enough to see her named in the Team of the Year and voted the best young player of the season in the Serie A Women.

Only on Tuesday, Echegini penned an emotional goodbye message to Juventus fans, signalling her intention to seek other challenges.

After signing the dotted lines for PSG, Echegini expressed her delight to be joining one of the biggest clubs on the continent.

"I am experiencing a great moment in my career today," Echegini said. "Signing for Paris Saint-Germain is a huge source of pride.

"I am very proud to join a club that is recognized around the world for its ambition and excellence. I can't wait to get started and I can't wait to give the best of myself to try to win, with my teammates and for the supporters, as many trophies as possible."

Echegini has 10 caps and 1 goal for Nigeria's Super Falcons and was in the squad that reached the knockout rounds of the 2023 Women's World Cup in Australia.

The 23-year-old has also been included in the Nigerian contingent to the Paris Olympic Games that begins next month.
