The Super Eagles forward has been linked with a number of teams, but a team in in Spanish top flight has recently shown great interest in him.
Peter Olayinka, who is desired by Turkish heavyweights Fenerbache and German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen, could be heading to Spain.
The representative of Olayinka claimed that his client is a target for an unnamed team in the La Liga Santander, soccernet.ng reports.
“There is a huge interest in Peter Olayinka from a Spanish club as regards the summer transfer window. Our Spanish partners want to discuss about Olayinka,” his agent was quoted to have said.
His agent would not share the team's identity, but football experts estimate that the player is worth more than €2 million.
However, his Czech employers may be holding out for more, as he has proven to be a valuable member of the team..
So far, the Nigerian has had an eventful European career, having played in Turkey, Belgium, and the Czech Republic.
He has also represented Nigeria at the African Cup of Nations.
