Due to Genk's asking price, Onuachu was denied a transfer away from Luminius Arena last summer, but the Smurfs leadership seems willing to yield this time around.

In the face of interest from Atletico Madrid, KRC Genk is prepared to lower its asking price for talismanic striker, Paul Onuachu from €25 million to €15 million.

Onuachu has been outstanding for the Limburgers, finding the back of the net on 66 occasions and assisting ten times in his last 107 matches.

The former Midtjylland striker scored 33 goals in the Jupiler League regular season last season, and a plethora of top clubs queued for him.

Arsenal, West Ham, and Lyon were all linked with Onuachu, but nothing came to fruition due to Genk's €25 million asking price.

Onuachu, on the other hand, might be heading to the Laliga this summer, according to Voetbal Primeur, who says that Atletico Madrid's manager Diego Simeone is interested in signing the Nigerian striker.

Last summer, the Spanish champions coveted Onuachu, but Genk refused to lower their €25 million asking price. The former Belgian champions, though, are prepared to lower their asking price to €15 million this summer, according to Voetbal Primeur.

The Los Colchoneros would like to complete a move for Onuachu as soon as the transfer window opens in June.
