Chinonso Offor joins CF Montreal from Chicago Fire

CF Montreal have acquired Nigerian forward, Chinonso Offor from the MLS outfit, Chicago Fire.

Chinonso was sold by the Chicago based club for $325,000.

Chicago Fire may also receive an additional $275,000 if the 22-year-old meets some set targets for his new team.

They have also included a sell on clause in the deal. The rule states that if Chinonso leaves for any league outside America's topflight, Fire would be entitled to receive part of the transfer fee.

He made his MLS debut in 2021 following his transfer from Latvia's Club FK Rïgas Futbola Skola and played in 41 games (14 starts) for Fire, contributing two goals and two assists.
