AFCON 2021: Eguavoen names 28-man Super Eagles squad for Cameroon Tournament

Super Eagles interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen has released his 28-man Super Eagles squad list for the delayed AFCON 2021

The Super Eagles are drawn in Group D alongside seven-time champions Egypt, Guinea-Bissau, and Sudan, and Eguavoen’s boys will open their campaign against the Pharaohs of Egypt on Tuesday, January 11, while the tournament itself starts January 9 and ends February 6, 2022.

Former Nigeria captain Eguavoen has selected a total of four goalkeepers, nine defenders, five midfielders, and 10 forwards for the camp where the final 23-man list will be named.

UK-based players are scheduled to resume camp in Abuja on Monday, January 3 due to Premier League games still to be played, while all other players are set to arrive camp from December 29.
