  • The team seeks to build on their 3-0 win over Benin and solidify their lead in Group D under interim manager Austin Eguavoen.

The Nigerian national team, Super Eagles, arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, on Sunday, September 8, ahead of their pivotal 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Amavubi.

The team's arrival marked a significant milestone in their quest to secure a spot in the prestigious tournament.

With a renewed sense of purpose and momentum from their resounding 3-0 victory over Benin in their Group D opener, the Super Eagles are determined to build on their strong start.

The win, courtesy of Ademola Lookman's brace and Victor Osimhen's goal, catapulted Nigeria to the top of the group with three points.

As they prepare to face Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium on Tuesday, September 10, the Super Eagles are brimming with confidence.

Interim manager Austin Eguavoen, at the helm, will be looking to capitalize on the team's current form and secure another win to solidify their lead in the group.

The Rwandan side, however, will not be pushovers. Their opening game against Libya ended in a draw, and they will be eager to make a statement against the Super Eagles.

The stage is set for an electrifying encounter, with Nigeria seeking to assert their dominance and Rwanda looking to upset the odds.
