Nigeria's head coach spoke ahead of the clash against Portugal on the 17th of November, 2022 at the Estádio José Alvalade.
The Portuguese coach indicates his anticipation for the encounter and vows to select the best players despite the Injury crisis for the match.
Speaking with NFF TV, Peseiro said, “It’s my country, until then we will be observing our players. I am happy to play against Portugal and I wish to do a good job there.
“But until then, I await the return of the players who are out injured, some are not fit while some are not performing at the highest level, I wish that they get in top gear”
“I choose the best of the best, we have many players. It’s my job to choose the best players.
“I hope we don’t have too many injuries, although it can happen, ” he concludes.
The Super Eagles fell to a 2-1 defeat to the Desert Foxes of Algeria on Tuesday and the team would be looking to triumph against Portugal in the first-ever meeting between the two Nations senior teams.
