  • The Nigeria Football Federation has announced the final list of 21 players that will represent the country at the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations.

Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso included two foreign-based youngsters in the squad that will look to propel Nigeria to continental glory for the first time in eight years.

The two players are Trelleborgs FF's defender, Abel Ogwuche and Gent forward, Ahmed Abdullahi.

The Nigerian coaching crew decided to drop FC Cartagena winger, Beji Muhammed and PFC Montana striker, Kelechi Success, despite the duo impressing during the first round of preparations in Abuja.

There is however enough room on the final 21-man squad for three goalkeepers, five defenders, five midfielders, and eight forwards as the team head to Morocco with the twin aim of lifting the U20 AFCON trophy and qualifying for the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup to be hosted by Indonesia.

The top four teams in Morocco will qualify for that World Cup.
