  • OGC Nice forward, Terem Moffi has been named one of the eleven finalists for the prestigious Marc-Vivien Foé award.
  • This award recognizes the best African player in the French Ligue 1.

This marks the first time that Moffi has been nominated for the award. The announcement was made by France 24 and RFI, who each year select the finalists for the prize.

Moffi has been recognized for his impressive performances on the field this season, which have helped to elevate his team's standing in the league.

He has been selected alongside ten other talented players, including Yunis Abdelhamid from Reims, Mama Baldé from Troyes, Mohamed Camara from Monaco, Habib Diallo from Strasbourg, Seko Fofana from Lens, Achraf Hakimi from Paris, Chancel Mbemba from Marseille, Marshall Munetsi from Reims, Salis Abdul Samed from Lens, and Hamari Traoré from Rennes.

The winner of the Marc-Vivien Foé prize will be announced by France 24 and RFI on Tuesday, May 30. The decision will be made by a jury of nearly 100 former players and journalists who specialize in French and African football.

The Marc-Vivien Foé Prize has been awarded since 2009, and its previous winners include some of the biggest names in African football, such as Vincent Enyeama and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
