Match Report: Osimhen nets brace in Juventus crushing, Maja continues excellent scoring form

Here is EaglesTracker's highlight of some of the most notable performances of Nigeria's finest exports to Europe.

Italian Serie A

Victor Osimhen delivered one of his finest performances in a Napoli shirt as Luciano Spalleti's men secured a memorable 5-1 win over Juventus on Friday evening.

Osimhen grabbed two goals and provided an assist to lead Napoli to their best display at the Diego Maradona Stadium this season.

The Super Eagles striker opened the scoring for Il Partenopei in the 14th minute, reacting first to nod home the loose ball after goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny had parried Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's initial shot.

Osimhen then turned provider for the Georgian playmaker to make it two-nil in the 40th minute. World Cup winner Angel Di Maria reduced the deficit for the Old Lady with a fine finish just before halftime.

But Amir Rrahmani and Eljif Elmas found the net on either side of another brilliant Osimhen header from a sumptuous Kvaratskhelia cross as Napoli completely made a mess of Serie A's best defence.

Spanish La Liga

Samuel Chukwueze made the crucial impact for Villarreal despite playing only the first half of the Yellow Submarines' 1-1 draw away to Celta Vigo.

Chukwueze laid on the assist for Spanish forward Gerard Moreno to break the deadlock for Villarreal in the 15th minute.

But head coach Quique Setién replaced the Nigerian winger at halftime, sending in Yeremi Pino in his stead.

It was, however, CeltaViga who gained the upper hand in the second half with substitute Jacob Bruun Larsen netting the home side's equaliser after the hour mark.

With seven goals and six assists in 25 games across all competitions, Chukwueze remains one of Villarreal's most productive players this term.

French Ligue 2

Two Nigerian attackers made their presence felt at the Matmut Atlantique as Girondins Bordeaux and Amiens played out a thrilling 1-1 draw.

In-form Super Eagles striker Josh Maja got the opener from the penalty spot to score in his fourth consecutive game for Bordeaux.

But exciting Lagos-born teenager George Ilenikhena came off the bench to grab his first-ever goal for Amiens and earn a crucial draw for the visitors.

It was the 16-year-old striker's second league appearance for Amiens.
