Italy

Victor Osimhen scored a goal-of-the-season contender on Sunday night as Napoli bulldozed past AS Roma 2-1 at the Diego Maradona Stadium to continue their march towards a first Serie A title in 33 years.

Serie A topscorer, Osimhen grabbed the opener in the 17th minute, chesting down a deep Kvaratskhelia crossing, trapping the ball on his thigh before smashing a perfect volley past Rui Patricio all in one fluid movement.

El Shaarawy equalised for Jose Mourinho's Roma in the second half but substitute Simeone netted a late winner for the unstoppable Neapolitans.

Super Falcons star, Gift Monday ended the night on the losing side as Asisat Oshoala's stunning hat-trick powered Barcelona to a convincing 6-0 victory at Granadilla Tenerife.

Three Nigerians were on parade as leaders KRC Genk romped to a comprehensive 4-0 win over bottom club RFC Seraing at the Cegeka Arena.

Paul Onuachu started for the home side, Yira Sor was a second-half substitute while Ejaita Ifoni featured in the opening 65 minutes for the visitors.

But it was Onuachu who delivered a man-of-the-match performance as he grabbed a brace to help seal a fourth consecutive league win of 2023 for Genk.

Despite agreeing to leave the club, Peter Olayinka still put on a classy show, assisting two goals to help Slavia Prague secure a convincing 5-1 home win over Joshu Akupdje and FK Jablonec. Olayinka has agreed to join Partizan Belgrade when his current contract ends in the summer.

Also in the Czech Fortuna Liga, Victor Olatunji scored on his debut as Slovan Liberec were held to 1-1 draw at home against FK Pardubice.

Olatunji, who only teamed up with Slovan last week on loan from AEK Larnaca, netted the opening goal five minutes from halftime but Dominik Plechatý's unfortunate own goal denied the hosts their first league win of the year.

Portugal

New Super Eagles defender, Bruno Onyemaechi netted his first league goal of the campaign to help inspire Boavista to an impressive 4-2 win in a home clash against Portimonense.

It is Umar's first goal since joining Bodrumspor on a free transfer in mid-January. The 27-year-old striker was a member of the Nigerian squad that claimed a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games.
