The EaglesTracker Awards is an annual event which will take place for the first time on Friday at 7:30pm via our social media platforms. The event will celebrate the best performers, selected from over 250 Nigerian players that we tracked during the 2019/2020 season.
The 2019/2020 football season has undoubtedly been one to remember, for many reasons, including some, unrelated to football. Football players from around the world have had to overcome the issues of the pandemic just like the rest of us, yet they did not fail to keep us engaged and entertained.
It is time for us to celebrate the Most Outstanding Nigerian Footballers from around the world during this hopefully 'Once in a Lifetime' 2019/2020 season.
AWARDS SCHEDULE
Team of the Season: Fri Aug 28
A selection of the Best XI of Nigerian Footballers based on performances during the 2019/2020 season.
Rookie of the Season: Sat Aug 29
Awarded to the Best Player aged 21 years or younger, playing in their first full season as a member of the first team squad.
Revelation of the Season: Sat Aug 29
Awarded to the player who was the biggest positive surprise in their football club this season.
Most Improved Player of the Season: Sat Aug 29
Awarded to the player who made the most improvements on the field, from their previous season.
Players’ Player of the Season: Sunday Aug 30
Awarded to the player voted by their peers as the most outstanding player of the season.
Player of the Season: Sunday Aug 30
Awarded to the player selected by our editors as the most outstanding player of the season.

The period under review includes all competitive matches played (excluding Internationals), between Aug 1, 2019 and Aug 25, 2020
