GK - SEBASTIAN OSIGWE - FC LUGANO

28-year old goalkeeper, Sebastian Osigwe was back in between the sticks for FC Luagno over the weekend. He made 2 fine saves and helped his side keep a clean sheet in a comfortable [2-0] home victory.

LCB - ZAIDU SANUSI - FC PORTO

Zaidu Sanusi put in a good defensive shift, making 6 ball recoveries, winning 4 duels and making 2 interceptions in FC Porto’s hard-fought home win.

CB - CALVIN BASSEY - AFC AJAX

Super Eagle, Calvin Bassey continues his impressive run of form at the heart of AFC Ajax’s defence. The 23-year old made 12 ball recoveries, won 5 duels and completed 82% of his passes in his side’s [2-4] Eredivisie victory.

RCB - JOSEPH OLOWU - DONCASTER ROVERS FC

Joseph Olowu makes his first appearance in our TOTW this season. The 23-year old made 4 clearances, 2 ball recoveries and 1 crucial block in Doncaster Rovers’ [2-1] home league win.



LM - IBRAHIM OLAWOYIN - CAYKRU RIZESPOR

Ibrahim Olawoyin was in fine form for Caykur Rizespor on Sunday. The25-year old winger assisted the equalizer before scoring a stoppage winner himself in his side’s [1-2] league victory.

CM - KELECHI NWAKALI - SD PONFERRADINA

Nwakali makes another appearance in our TOTW this season. The 25-year old made 5 ball recoveries, won 3 duels and completed 91% of his passes in a composed midfield display as SD Ponferradina were held to a [2-2] draw.

CM - ALEX IWOBI - EVERTON FC

Alex “Big 17” Iwobi has been a mainstay in our TOTW so far this season and his 7 ball recoveries, 2 tackles and 3 goalscoring chances created in Everton’s [1-0] victory over Brentford ensures he makes yet another appearance.

RM - TONI PAYNE - SEVILLA FC FEM

Super Falcons’ versatile player, Toni Payne was in fine form for her side, Sevilla on Saturday. She provided the assist for the opening goal as her side were held to a [1-1] La Liga F draw.

ST - TEREM MOFFI - OGC NICE

Terem Boffi was impressive for OGC Nice, scoring the first goal before assisting the second, as they were held to a [2-2] French Ligue 1 draw on Sunday.

ST - ODION IGHALO - AL HILAL SAUDI FC

‘Uncle Jude’, Odion Ighalo put in a Player of the Match performance, scoring 2 fine goals for Al Hilal as they cruised to a [0-4] Saudi Pro League victory over Al-Taawoun.

ST - GIFT ORBAN - KAA GENT - STAR OF THE WEEK

Remember the name, Gift Organ scored FOUR goals for KAA Gent, including a stunning free kick, becoming the first player to achieve that feat for the club in a league game this century. His outstanding performance earns him our Nigerian Star of the Week honours.
