Kelechi Iheanacho reveals his favourite strike partner in the Super Eagles
Victor Osimhen, a fellow Super Eagles attacker, is a terrific talent and a great goalscorer, according to Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho. Iheanacho admits that he enjoys playing with the Napoli star because they are familiar with each other's game.
In the Europa League and the Italian Serie A this season, Osimhen has contributed to his burgeoning reputation as a great striker by terrorizing defenders and goalkeepers.
However, he was forced to miss the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations because to several facial injuries that necessitated surgery and COVID-19, denying Nigerian fans the opportunity to witness his blossoming partnership with Iheanacho.
Both players have been chosen in Augustine Eguavoen's 25-man team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs against Ghana.
And Iheanacho says he's excited to collaborate with the former Lille great to bring the Black Stars down.
“Everybody knows he’s a fantastic striker. He’s a great goal poacher,” Iheanacho told FIFA.com.
“He has great talent. I’m always very happy playing alongside him because I know his game, I know his strengths, and he knows mine as well.

In 2013, Iheanacho and the Golden Eaglets won the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Osimhen broke the competition's goalscoring record two years later, helping Nigeria retain the title.
