Victor Boniface (FK Bodo/Glimt - Norwegian Eliteserien)

The youngster played the role of hero as his brace powered FK Bodo/Glimt to a 1-2 away league victory.

Victor opened the scoring in the 26th minute but Ødemarksbakken restored parity six minutes later. Three minutes before halftime, the 21-year-old scored what turned out to be the winner for the Norwegian giants.

Semi Ajayi (West Bromwich Albion - English Championship)

Semi Ajayi put in a good shift in defence for the Baggies as they began the 2022/2023 league campaign with a 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough FC.

The Hale End Academy product made six successful clearances and five interceptions in 90 minutes.

Jamilu Collins (Cardiff City - English Championship)

Nigerian defender, Jamilu Collins made his debut for Cardiff City in their 1-0 win over Championship returnees, Norwich City.

Collins was solid on the day, as he made six interceptions and six clearances in 90 minutes, claiming the Man of the Match award.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (Sheffield Wednesday - English League One)

2019 Flying Eagles invitee, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored twice, including a late equalizer for Sheffield Wednesday in their six goal thriller against Portsmouth.

Fisayo got his first goal of the game in the 52nd minute as he restored the Owl's lead. The 21-year-old got his brace in the 81st minute and that levelled matters for his side at 3-3.

Uche Agbo (ŠK Slovan Bratislava - Slovakian Superliga)

Uche Agbo scored his first goal of the season in ŠK Slovan Bratislava's 4-2 comeback over Michalovce.

The Nigerian international put the league leaders ahead in the 83rd minute after goals from Barseghyan and Green had brought Slovan Bratislava back into the game.

Wisdom Kanu (MFK Zemplin Michalovce - Slovakian Superliga)

Wisdom Kanu scored the opener, and assisted the second for MFK Zemplin as they blew a two-goal lead before fallign to a 4-2 defeat against Slovan Bratislava.

The 28-year old's first goal of the season.
