Olympiacos FC has officially announced the signing of Nigerian international left-back Bruno Onyemaechi from Portuguese club Boavista. 

The 25-year-old defender joins the Greek giants on a deal that promises to take his career to new heights.

Onyemaechi's impressive performances for Boavista caught the attention of Olympiacos, who are currently top of the Greek Super League standings. 

The Nigerian defender made 77 appearances for Boavista, scoring five goals and providing three assists. 

This season, he has played in 18 matches, contributing three goals and one assist.

The Owerri-born defender has also made a name for himself on the international stage, earning 11 caps for the Nigerian national team. 

He debuted for the Super Eagles in the 6-0 defeat of Sao Tome and Principe in 2023 and was part of the squad that finished second at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d'Ivoire.

Onyemaechi's move to Olympiacos offers him the opportunity to compete at a higher level and on the European stage. 

The Greek giants currently sit in the playoffs spot in the UEFA Europa League, and Onyemaechi's experience and skills will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to the team.
