Spain-based forward, Rasheedat Ajibade converted a first-half penalty on Friday to hand Nigeria a 1-0 win in Abuja in the first leg.
South Africa hosted the return fixture inside the 52,000-capacity Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria tonight (Tuesday, April 9), hoping to overturn that deficit.
However, the Super Falcons showed excellent grit and defensive solidity to keep the Banyana Banyana at bay and record a goalless draw.
With the draw in South Africa, Nigeria are through to the Olympics with a 1-0 aggregate victory.
It is the first time the Super Falcons have made it to the Olympic Games since 2008.
With the draw of the Olympics already decided, the Super Falcons will slot straight into Group C for the 2024 Olympic Games, where they will compete against world champions Spain, Japan, and Brazil.
In three previous appearances at the Gamea, the Super Falcons did not make it past the group stage.
Coach Randy Waldrum and his girls will aim to reach the semifinals of the tournament in France.
