Ademola Lookman named Atalanta's Player of the Season again

• Nigeria international, Ademola Lookman has been named Atalanta's Player of the Season for the second year in a row after another outstanding campaign.

The Super Eagles winger won the award in his debut season in Serie A last year, after registering 15 goals and eight assists across all competitions.

He stepped it up several notches higher this term to help Atalanta qualify for the UEFA Champions League and also reach the final of the Copa Italia and Europa League.

Lookman, who scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions, edged out strong competition to retain his title.

His hat-trick in the Europa League final in Dublin, where Atalanta defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 to win their first continental crown, was a highlight of his season.

Midfielders Éderson and Teun Koopmeiners finished second and third, respectively. Éderson, who played 52 matches and scored seven goals, was recognized for his consistent performances.

Koopmeiners, the team's second top scorer with 15 goals and seven assists, also had an impressive season, notably scoring 12 of his goals away from home.
