- Super Falcons Head Coach Randy Waldrum has announced his team's call-up list, inviting 23 top players to a camp ahead of the upcoming international friendly matches in Turkey next month.
Among the notable invitees are team captain Onome Ebi, Barcelona striker Asisat Oshoala, and Atletico Madrid forward Rasheedat Ajibade.
The Super Falcons, who are nine-time African champions, are scheduled to play two friendly matches next month.
They will first face World Cup-bound Haiti women’s national team on April 7 at the Emir Sports Complex in Antalya, Turkey. Four days later, they will take on World Cup co-hosts New Zealand at the Mardan Sports Complex, also in Antalya.
Since their last outing at the Turkish Women’s Cup in February 2023, the Super Falcons have been on a break, giving Coach Waldrum ample time to assess his squad and make necessary changes to ensure the team is in top shape for the upcoming friendlies.
The team will converge in Antalya, Turkey, on April 2, for a week-long camp before their first match against Haiti.
Nigeria's women’s national football team, the Super Falcons, has made eight appearances at the FIFA Women's World Cup, with their best performance being a quarter-final finish in 1999. Fans and stakeholders of the Super Falcons will be eagerly watching to see how the team performs in these friendlies as they prepare for their upcoming assignments.
