The Nigerian Falconets put on a show for the ages, thrashing Venezuela 4-0 in their final group game at the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup.

With this resounding win, the team has secured their place in the next round, where they will face the winner of Group E on September 12 at the Estadio El Techo in Bogotá.

Coach Christopher Danjuma's tactical tweaks paid off as the Falconets dominated the game from start to finish.

Amina Bello opened the scoring in the 16th minute, capitalizing on a mistake by the Venezuelan defense.

Chiamaka Okwuchukwu doubled the lead with a bullet header in the 28th minute, and Flourish Sabastine made it 3-0 just before halftime.

The Falconets continued to press for goals in the second half, with Chioma Olise coming close twice.

Substitute Joel Igbokwe sealed the win with a stunning goal, dinking the ball over the goalkeeper in the dying moments of the game.

Goalkeeper Faith Omilana made crucial saves to deny Venezuela any chance of getting back into the game. The defense was solid, and the midfielders controlled the pace of the game.

With this win, the Falconets have sent a strong message to their opponents ahead of the knockout stages, and have proven themselves to be a force to be reckoned with in the tournament.

They will look to carry this momentum into their next game, where they will face a new challenge in the round of 16. The win ensures that the team's confidence is high, and they are ready to take on whatever comes next
