Through official channels, Spanish La Liga club Sevilla has confirmed the signing of Nigerian striker Akor Adams from French side Montpellier HSC, on a deal until 2029.
The 24-year-old goal-scorer was in attendance for his new team's match against RCD Espanyol on Saturday.
Adams joins the Spanish outfit from Montpellier HSC, where he made 15 appearances this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
Despite his rather underwhelming form in France this season, he has managed to catch the eye, and he's now set to take on new a new challenge in Spain.
The Nigerian striker's journey to Europe began in 2018 when he left Jamba Football Academy to join Sogndal IL in Norway.
He quickly made a name for himself, scoring 16 goals in 56 appearances over three and a half seasons.
Adams' performances earned him a move to Lillestrøm SK in 2022, where he continued to impress, scoring 11 goals in 33 games.
His remarkable form led to a transfer to Montpellier HSC in 2023, and now, he's taken the next step in his career.
On the international stage, Adams has represented Nigeria's Under-20 team, making two appearances at the 2019 Under-20 World Cup in Poland.
