  • Nigeria's Super Falcons have been drawn in Group B of 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations alongside Tunisia, Algeria, and Botswana.
  • The Super Falcons, nine-time winners of the tournament, will begin their campaign on July 5th, 2024, without a substantive head coach after Randy Waldrum's resignation.

The draw for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations has been conducted, and Nigeria's Super Falcons have been grouped alongside Tunisia, Algeria, and Botswana in Group B.

The competition, which will be the 15th edition of the tournament, is scheduled to take place from July 5th to July 26th, 2024.

The Super Falcons, who have won the tournament a record nine times, will be looking to reclaim their title after finishing fourth in the 2022 edition.

However, they will face stiff competition from their group opponents, particularly Tunisia, who reached the quarterfinals of the WAFCON in 2022.

Nigeria's qualification for the tournament was sealed after they defeated Cape Verde 7-1 on aggregate across two legs.

The team is currently without a substantive head coach, following the expiration of Randy Waldrum's contract after the 2024 Summer Olympic games.

Justin Madugu is currently serving as the team's interim manager.

The 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations promises to be an exciting tournament, with several top teams competing for the title.

The Super Falcons will be looking to make a strong impression in the group stage, and their matches against Tunisia, Algeria, and Botswana are expected to be highly competitive.

The full draw for the tournament is as follows:

Group A: Morocco, Zambia, Senegal, DR Congo

Group B: Nigeria, Tunisia, Algeria, Botswana

Group C: South Africa, Ghana, Mali, Tanzania
