According to a report from The Star, English Football League Championship club Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly considering a move for Nigerian international Emmanuel Dennis in the winter transfer market. 

The 27-year-old striker has been sidelined by Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo and is unregistered for the Premier League.

Dennis has a proven track record in the English football league system, having scored four goals in 19 Championship appearances for Watford. 

He also had a successful spell in the Premier League with Watford, contributing to 16 goals in 33 outings.

Sheffield Wednesday are in the market for a striker before the close of the January transfer window, and Dennis is one name being considered to bolster the forward line. 

However, the deal will not be easy to pull off, as the Owls face competition from English and foreign clubs.

A loan or transfer to a team offering regular playing time could help Dennis regain his confidence and rediscover his form.
