  • Victor Boniface extends contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2029.
  • The Nigerian striker's new deal includes a significant pay rise to six million euros per season.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Nigerian international Victor Boniface has reportedly put pen to paper on a contract extension with Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, ending speculation about his immediate future at the club.

The 24-year-old striker has added an extra year to his deal, which was initially set to expire in 2028.

Boniface's new contract includes a significant pay rise, doubling his previous salary to six million euros per season.

The Nigerian marksman has been instrumental in Leverkusen's success, scoring 29 goals and providing 11 assists in 49 matches since joining the club from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023.

Despite extending his stay at the BayArena, Boniface's future at Leverkusen is not entirely secure.

The club is reportedly open to selling the Nigerian striker for offers exceeding 50 million euros, with interest coming from the Premier League and the Saudi Pro League.

Boniface has been sidelined with an injury since November 9, 2024, but returned to the bench as an unused substitute during Leverkusen's 2-1 loss to Atlético Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
