Leicester City Women have named Super Falcons defender, Ashleigh Plumptre as the club's 2021/22 PFA Community Champion.

The PFA Community Champion Award was created to recognize the tremendous assistance that PFA members give to their club's community efforts throughout the season.

“Ashleigh Plumptre has been named as the Club’s 2021/22 PFA Community Champion”, Leicester City said in a statement.

Ashleigh Plumptre named Leicester City's PFA Community Champion.

Ashleigh helped the Leicestershire based side escape relegation to the Women’s Championship after a round of 22 games.

She's now setting sights on also helping the Super Falcons retain the AWCON title when the tournament starts in July 2022.

Ashleigh Plumptre made her debut for Nigeria in a 2-0 victory over Ivory Coast in the 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations of Nation Qualifiers in February at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
