FIFA U-17 Women's world cup: Flamingoes placed in group D alongside Germany

The Flamingoes of Nigeria have been placed in Group B of the 2022 FIFA U-17 World Cup world to be hosted by India.

In a challenging group at the World Cup, the Nigerian girls will compete against Germany, Chile, and New Zealand.

However, they are still expected to qualify from the group ahead of New Zealand and Chile despite the tough hurdles.

The Tanzanian young girls will also face a challenging task, as they have been drawn in the same group alongside France, Canada, and Japan in group D.

While group C consists of Spain, Colombia, Morocco, and China, group A features the hosts India, the United States, Morocco, and Brazil.

This year’s competition is scheduled to last for 20 days, starting from from October 11 to October 30.

The Olowookere led side who never lost a game in the qualifying series will be attempting to rule the globe in India.

The Flamingoes want to improve upon the quarter final record set previously in 2012.
