  • Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Ajibade has been awarded the Atletico Madrid Feminino Player of the Month for March 2023.
  • A just reward for her exceptional performances during the month.

Ajibade has had a fantastic 2022/2023 campaign, helping the former Spanish champions to fourth place on the league table.

In March, the 23-year-old took her game to a higher level, scoring three goals in four league games for the Madrid-based side.

She started the month by scoring both goals in Atletico Madrid's impressive [2-1] victory over Real Sociedad. The former Avaldsnes star also scored in Atletico Madrid's [1-3] away win against Alhama.

With Ajibade's contribution, Atletico Madrid won three games and drew one in March, and the versatile Nigerian attacker's performance was rewarded as she was named the best player of the month.

Ajibade has scored 8 goals for Atletico Madrid in an excellent individual campaign, making her the second top-scoring player for the capital club, behind Brazil's Ludmila.

RASH is expected to be involved this weekend when Atletico Madrid face their biggest challenge of the season, a trip to Estadi Johan Cruyff to play against Asisat Oshoala.

Over the international break, The Girl With The Blue Hair featured in both of Nigeria's two friendly matches, with the Super Falcons defeating Haiti and 2023 FIFA World Cup co-hosts New Zealand.
