Iyayi Atiemwen joins UEFA Champions League giant-slayers, FC Sheriff

Moldovan Super Liga club, FC Sheriff Tiraspol have announced the signing of former Nigeria U23 international Iyayi Atiemwen.

Iyayi was unveiled by FC Sheriff on Wednesday morning following the success of his medicals. The 26-year-old Nigerian joins from Croatian giants, Dinamo Zagreb, on a free transfer.

In the 58 games Iyayi played for the Zagreb outfit, he scored 12 goals and dished out six assists.

He has also played for Omonia Nicosia, Kayseri Erciyesspor, Caykur Rizespor, Sanliurfaspor, NK Lokomotiva Zagreb, and Manisaspor in his eight years old career.

Sheriff Tiraspol had a campaign to remember in last season's UEFA Champions League following their famous victories over Red Star Belgrade, Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk.
