Chidera Ejuke joins Hertha Berlin on loan from CSKA Moscow

Super Eagles winger, Chidera Ejuke has joined German Bundesliga side, Hertha Berlin on loan from CSKA Moscow.
Ejuke activated one of FIFA’s statutes on Russia and Ukraine to join a team in one of Europe’s top five leagues. He used the temporary employment rules, which were approved by The Bureau of the FIFA Council, and suspended his deal with PFC CSKA until 30 June 2023.
Fredi Bobic, the manager of Hertha Berlin is happy to have Ejuke in his squad and in convinced he'll bring strengthen the German capital based club.
"Chidera has already proven himself in several European leagues, brings good technique and versatility and a lot of pace. We are convinced that he will enrich our game with his skills."
The 24-year-old Nigerian has been given the number 40 for the 2022-23 season and has revealed that he's delighted to be in Germans top division.
"I'm looking forward to Hertha, to the Bundesliga and this special challenge. I would like to do my part to ensure that we achieve the club's goals together."
Ejuke has played in the Netherlands, Norway and Russia.
