  • The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has invited forty players drawn from clubs and academics to the national under-20 training camp in Abuja.

Flying Eagles head coach Ladan Bosso will put the team through the paces as they prepare for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt next year.

The invited players comprise of five goalkeepers, nine defenders, thirteen midfielders, and thirteen forwards.

Coach Bosso retained most of the players that helped Nigeria win the WAFU B U20 Championship held in Niger Republic back in May.

Winning the regional competition handed seven-time African champions Nigeria one of the qualifying tickets to the 2023 U20 AFCON hosted by Egypt.

The best four teams at the continental championship in Egypt will qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup, to be held in Indonesia later in 2023.
