Match Report: Excellent Lookman pursues Osimhen in Serie A, Oshoala lays hand on first trophy of 2023

In the Italian Serie A, Ademola Lookman provided three of the major highlights of the match as Atalanta were forced to a 3-3 draw at Juventus.

In a man-of-the-match display, Lookman netted two of Atalanta's goals and set up the third as the Goddess left the Allianz Stadium with a share of the spoils.

Lookman fired the opener for Atalanta as early as the fourth minute, managing to beat Juventus goalkeeper Szczęsny from an acute angle.

Ademola Lookman has now scored 11 league goals for Atalanta, bettered only by the 13 scored by compatriot and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen.

Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala claimed her first trophy of the year after helping Barcelona lift the Supercopa Femenina with a convincing 3-0 over Real Sociedad at the Estadio Romano.

Aitana Bonmatí set the Spanish champions on the road to glory with a brace before Oshoala came off the bench to seal the win with a third goal deep into stoppage time.

In La Liga, Samuel Chukwueze delivered another impressive performance as a stoppage-time penalty from Dani Parejo pushed Villarreal to a 1-0 win over Girona.

In the Netherlands, Calvin Bassey played as a left-back as Ajax Amsterdam forced hosts Feyenoord to a 1-1 draw.

Ajax continue to search for their first league win of the year 2023, last claiming the maximum points in a league game in October, a 4-1 win away to RKC Waalwijk.

In Croatia, Chidozie Awaziem featured from start to finish as Hadjuk Split secured a come-from-behind 2-1 triumph over Šibenik in a matchday 18 clash of the first division, HNL.
