64-year old American, Randy Waldrum has been announced by the NFF as the new head coach of the Super Falcons. The news of an appointment comes with a sigh of relief, as many Nigerian football fans have been waiting for news on a coach, since Thomas Dennerby quit the Super Falcons after the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Waldrum is a very experienced manager, who has spent most of his career coaching in the United States of America. He has coached in 5 different universities, and won 2 National Championships. Waldrum has also coached professionally, as he was Head Coach of Trinidad and Tobago women's team between 2014 and 2016.

Waldrum is in fact no stranger to Nigerian football in certain ways. He was appointed technical adviser and head coach of the Super Falcons in 2017, but turned down the role.
