- The Nigeria international has been one of the most influential players for the Canaries over the past few seasons
French Ligue 1 campaigners, FC Nantes have begun discussions with Moses Simon and his representatives in order to extend the Super Eagles winger's contract.
Simon joined Nantes from La Liga side Levantes first on loan in 2019. After the jet-heeled forward impressed during the season-long loan, Nantes splashed five million euros to acquire his services permanently in 2020.
Last season, Simon played a crucial role as Nantes won the French Cup, the first in two decades for the Ligue 1 side.
In his time with the Canaries, Simon has scored 24 goals and made 23 assists in all competitions.
This term, the 27-year-old has netted three league goals in six appearances. That tally is already half the six goals Simon managed in 30 Ligue 1 appearances last season.
And according to Tribune Nantaise, Nantes are keen on keeping Simon beyond the terms of his current contract.
The GBS Academy product is reportedly being offered a minimum two-year extension to his current deal that expires in the summer of 2024.
Simon is presently in Constantine, where he is part of the Super Eagles squad preparing to face Algeria in an international friendly on September 27.
