Wayne Rooney's Plymouth Argyle sign Muhamed Tijani

- Plymouth Argyle have signed Nigerian forward Muhamed Tijani on loan from Slavia Prague until the end of the season, with an option to buy.
The 23-year-old, who turns 24 later this month, joined Slavia Prague last summer from Banik Ostrava and did his bit as the club finished second in the Czech Republic's top flight.
Tijani has had successful loan spells at Třinec, Karvina, and Taborsko, where he scored 13 goals in 33 games during the 2021/22 season.
In the 2022/23 season, Tijani made 25 appearances for Banik Ostrava's first team. He moved to Slavia Prague for around £1m in 2023, playing 19 games and scoring four goals, including two in the UEFA Europa League.
Expressed his delight at Tijani's arrival, Argyle's head coach, Wayne Rooney said: "Muhamed joining further strengthens our forward line. He is big, athletic, and can run in behind, but is equally good at holding the ball up and bringing other players into play.
"He has played and scored in the Europa League, so he comes with a good pedigree but is also young and keen to improve. We are really looking forward to working with him."
Tijani will look to fire Plymouth Argyle, who narrowly avoided relegation last season by finishing 21st out of 24 teams, to success in the EFL Championship.
